Niykee who's had many a hectic few years which included getting picked by Snoop to perform with him at The YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee has a regular songwriting routine despite this. She is now a magnet for aspiring artists, she is constantly looking over beats that are sent to her and discovers that a lot of them result in sparking ideas for songs. It's only after five seconds that I can determine the beat's worth it. After that I can get an idea of a whole song inside my head and start to write. I'll sit out on my backyard with my guitar, and then the lyrics just come and usually it's completed in less than thirty minutes. Niykee's pain from her past can be a constant source of inspiratation as she progresses as an author. Even when I'm not writing literally about things that have been a part of my life, all the hurt of growing up and loss of my sister in being integrated into my lyrics, she says. The loss of my sister, and the memories of my childhood influence the music that I compose. It's important to me to attach a profound meaning to everything I do.
